  • As part of your relationship with First United Bank, we want to ensure you have all of the information you need to effectively manage your accounts. Our goal is to provide you with as many options as possible for receiving your account documents. We are required by law to provide you with certain information “in writing” – which means you are entitled to receive it on paper. We may provide this information to you electronically, instead, with your prior consent. We also need your general consent to use electronic records and signatures in our relationship with you. The following disclosure is required by the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (eSign Act). Please read this eSign Disclosure carefully and keep a copy for your records. Also note the instructions located in the Consent section below. Electronic Delivery of Disclosures, Notices, Agreements, Fee Schedule, Statements, and other information we might provide to you in the normal course of business. By following the “Consent” instructions below, you are consenting to receive disclosures, notices, agreements, fee schedule, statements and other related documents that may relate to any of your current or future First United Bank accounts, loan transactions or products electronically. If you do not consent; we will mail these documents to you. By consenting to electronic documents, you agree to provide us with your current eMail address and update First United Bank if your information changes by contacting our Electronic Services department at the number or eMail address listed under Contact Information.

    Requesting Paper Copies

    Even after consent, you have the right to receive a paper copy of all documents related to your account. If you would like to receive a paper copy, please contact us at the number or eMail address listed under Contact Information. A fee may be assessed for a paper copy unless charging a fee is prohibited by applicable law. Please include your name and mailing address and be sure to state that you are requesting a paper copy of the documents related your current transaction.

    Withdrawal of Consent

    If after consenting, you wish to withdraw your consent, you can do so by contacting us at the number or eMail address listed under Contact Information. Your withdrawal of consent will become effective after we have had reasonable opportunity to act upon it.

    Termination/Changes

    We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to discontinue the provision of your account information electronically, or to terminate or change the terms and conditions on which we provide account information electronically. We will provide you with notice of any such termination or change as required by law.
  • Section B: Hardware and Software Requirements

  • In order to access, view, and retain your account information electronically, you must have:
    • A personal computer or other device which is capable of accessing the Internet
    • An Internet web browser with capabilities to support a minimum 128-bit encryption
    • Software which permits you to receive, access, print and save Portable Document Format or “PDF” files, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader® version 11.0 or above
    • Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for download at www.adobe.com
    • A working email account with 1MB of free space available and allows attachments up to 500KB

  • List all accounts for which you are an owner and would like to receive electronic documents. To improve security, we recommend that you provide a password that you will use to view your documents. (The password should be at least six (6) characters long, alphanumeric, and contain at least one (1) special character.) You may request that we send the same account document or statement to three (3) different eMail addresses. If you have additional accounts that are not listed below, including loans, an additional submission of this form may be required.

  • You will NOT be eligible to receive electronic documents regarding your First United Bank account(s) or transactions without returning this information to our Electronic Services department. Please follow the instructions to submit your information:
    1. Please click here and open the pdf to retrieve your code.
    2. Please type the code in the box provided.
    3. Complete the requested Customer Information and Account Information.
    4. Complete Consent section and “Submit” request back to First United Bank.
